Microsoft Outlook is one of the popular email client application which are popular for its reliability, durability and security. Outlook application is available with lots of amazing features which let the users to manage the email operations in a very smooth manner. PST-file is set to a default delivery location for an Exchange mailbox:- In the case when you set the dafault delivery location of mailbox as pst-file, then all the received items of your mailbox will be automatically moved to the pst-file, as a result of which outlook message disappears from inbox.
Installation of any third party add-ins:- The installation of add-ins like virus scanner and anti spam filters in outlook can also be responsible for the aforesaid issue. These add-ins affects emails in several ways either by moving it to another folder, delete it or to move it to other storage location. In any of these circumstances you fails to view your emails and thus becomes unable to access it.
It is very necessary to resolve above mentioned emails issues only then you will be able to access your stored emails in a proper manner.
- Check the view and filter settings of your outlook mailbox and make sure that your view is not set to unread messages in the folder
- Check the default delivery location of your outlook mailbox. And in the case if it is set to pst-file then change it to correct mailbox
- Also you will have to uninstall the installed add-ins in order to resolve outlook message disappears from inbox issues
